My spanish teacher is more psychotic than I am.

He let us listen to a song that when translated into English talked about burying his mother in law face first into the ground when she dies o__o

For fucks sake, I thought I was a loon.

A revolutionary can't be quiet.

Of course in my cocky attitude I have the feeling that I can change the world. I can’t change the world without pesky communication, can I? I failed to communicate on something extremely simple. Ballsing up to ask out a girl. I knew this lesson would be coming, but I didn’t want this to be my lesson. I didn’t want this to be my example. But it was so I pretty much have to deal with it. Oh joys to life.

Hey Jilly!

I got bored and I Google’d “Parangaricutirimicuaro”. I have yet to understand what the point of the word is. Try it yourself…

Mixed in America #1: Religion

Being Mixed in America you are exposed to different cultures. And every culture has their own ideas of how they came to be. Of course, culture is usually derived from tradition, which seems to skip science and logic…but I digress. One side of my family is Christian and the other side…I have absolutely no idea really. I mean my dad just goes everywhere.

Point is, on TV there is a town hall style debate about Muslims in America (a lot of ” ….in America” today, yes?) and Christians, Catholics, Jews, and Muslims are arguing. My mom is looking at the Muslims getting angry and finding the same type of joy you find when you see a boxing match when the guy that you want to win’s opponent is dealing good blows. My dad meanwhile is saying “You see, the bible warned of this, it’s all starting to happen now.”

I don’t think you should fight fire with fire. Or mass religious confusion with mass religious confusion.

Mixed in America.

Anyone watched CNN in the past 2 or 3 years? Then you’ve probably seen “Black in America” and “Latino in America”. While I eagerly await “Asian in America”, I’m afraid that CNN is missing one major point. Those who are Biracial and Multiracial in America. How we live, how we are treated and what we deal with.

I will in NO way be the antidote to this. Rather I’m just gonna post small blurbs about what I experience being Mixed in America.
