And here's what I think about Religion.

Religion is a very dicey subject with people because it is very close, near, and dear with people. A little too close, near, and dear.

Lately there is this whole idea about a Mosque, more specifically a Muslim Community Center being built near the infamous “9/11 ‘Terrorist’ Attacks” Of course now that politics is put into the issue things can officially start getting ugly. There have been several news reports of people who are treating those of the Muslim community wrongly and violently and threateningly. Such as the taxi driver who got his throat slit for his religion. Other Mosques being vandalized, people walking into places of worship for those of the Muslim faith insulting others. If the tables were turned and a Muslim did the same in a catholic church, the terror alert level would be in red and we’d all have to strip just to get into a school bus.

Now I’ll be fair. There are extremists in every religion. Of course we all know about Muslims who want “death to the western world” and all. And how those (according to the non-trustworthy government) responsible for 9/11 were Muslim. That may be true. But just because “terrorists” are Muslim doesn’t make all Muslims terrorists.

Or maybe I’ll make this simple for the average American nimrod to understand. The Ku Klux Klan. They are responsible for many hate crimes against *large inhale* Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Middle Easterners, Catholics, Jews, and anyone not white or christian. They can easily be filed under the term “terrorists”. They use the christian bible to justify their actions.

I have many friends who are christians but who are not KKK members. They are just average American people. Not all Christians are KKK members. All KKK members are Christian.

There are absolutely patriotic (patriotism is such a stupid thing…) Muslim Americans who do not approve of terrorism. Just as there are absolutely patriotic christians Americans who do not approve of discrimination of race. There were Muslims that died in 9/11, as well as christians.

Don’t discriminate against any one. Because not everyone of a religion is the same.

One last thing. I am un-religious for this reason. It makes people think they are right because of their religion. I know I just took up for Muslims and all but I’m not a Muslim, or a Christian or anything like that. It makes you way too closed-minded and too un connected with others.

Mob Mentality.

*The following post contains racial terms and harsh language; I just like to keep it real. But if that sorta thing upsets you, then you should probably just skip to the end. You should also keep in mind that I am half black, the majority of my family is African American, and if the uneducated negro can say it out on the streets talking to his friends, so can I.*

Even intellectuals must rant from time to time. Okay who am I kidding, I’m not an intellectual, and I rant ALL of the time. So sit back, relax, and read my rant. If not, hit your browser’s back button and continue on with your currently unfulfilled life.

So I believe I wanted to talk about the idea of mob mentality. Usually I try to turn a topic into a metaphor, but I’m no intellectual, and I’m someone who just made a post about my philosophy of thinking differently, so instead, I’m gonna open up about my experiences or as some would call it “life”.

#Nigga Think
Think Different.

Often when those smart enough to think about what they want to do when they are older without automatically saying “I’m gonna be a billionaire” have a general idea of how they want to do. They generally think of being in the middle class, working to make your living, having a house, maybe a significant other and some children. This is normal.

I however, think differently.

To Teenagers and Adults: Wisdom Isn't Always an Age Factor.

What is it with adults who think just because they have lived for a longer amount of time, they are absolutely certain they know everything you know, they can judge you and be 100% correct, and they know everything about life. Wrong, with that amount of time, you are bound to have lived a different way, in a different time, where things can be learned in a different way.

Face it, “age” isn’t the end all be all in knowledge. It can’t be done in a test. There are things adults know that we don’t, and there are things we know that adults don’t. That’s not teenage angst or rage. It’s a fact that can be proven.

I think Justin Bieber could learn a thing or two from George Bush.

Both George W. Bush and Justin Bieber can learn how not to be the type of person that people want to throw things at. That would also be a fine start.

Dead for a Year

(I originally meant to post this on August 9th, 2010. I simply have had no inspiration until now.)

In the early evening of August 9th, 2009 I woke up. Multiple wires in my skin, relieved doctors. Frankly, I was dizzy, cloudy, I had a pain in my chest, I could go on about all of my pain, however…

…I’m a blunt person so I’ll make this very short and simple. On that day, I was an inch away from death. Specifics are not necessary.
